What It Does
Note: This product has been discontinued by the developer.
Spirograph transforms text into animated typefaces inspired by the Denys Fisher drawing toy from 1965. The condensed geometric design works for titles, headers, and motion graphics projects where you want distinctive character animations.
Designed by Jeroen Krielaars and Maria Jose Torrero Heredia, the typeface includes A-Z, 0-9, and extensive punctuation.
Key Features
Copies and rotation. Control how many copies of each stroke appear and how much each copy rotates, creating the characteristic spirograph patterns.
Offset trimming. Adjust where strokes begin and end in the animation cycle.
Stroke and color controls. Set stroke width and color individually, plus a master rotation control for the entire character.
Easing options. Apply ease in, ease out, or both to smooth the motion.
Duration control. Set animation length in frames.
Characteristic integration. Optimized to work with the Characteristic plugin for advanced text animation controls.
Static font included. Comes with a static OpenType (.otf) version for non-animated use.
Who It’s For
Motion designers working on titles, posters, or branding that need a geometric, kinetic look. Works for projects where legibility can take a backseat to visual style.
