What It Does
Polka Dots Maker generates repeating polka dot patterns in After Effects. Click once and it builds a pattern composition with a control layer that lets you adjust rotation, scale, spacing, and animation speed. Patterns render fast because they use compositions instead of effects.
Key Features
One-click setup. The plugin creates a Dot Comp (the pattern source) and a Control Layer automatically. No manual composition setup.
Circle or square dots. Choose your base shape when generating the pattern. Edit the shape later in the Dot Comp if needed.
Multi Comp option. Version 2 added support for two Dot Comps that align alternately when you check Multi Comp. Useful for creating offset or layered pattern effects.
Pattern controls. Adjust Dot Angle to rotate the entire pattern, Scale to resize it, and Dot Scale to change individual dot size and spacing. Scroll Speed animates rows of dots, and Cross Scroll adds perpendicular movement.
Full customization. The Dot Comp is a standard After Effects comp. Replace shapes with footage, add effects, animate properties, or change colors. Your edits apply to the entire pattern.
