What It Does
Meshed is an animated typeface designed for display purposes in After Effects. It’s a rational serif with strong vertical stems and delicate horizontal hairlines, meant to stand out at larger sizes. Each character includes unique frame-by-frame in and out animations.
A static version (9 weights plus italics) is available for free at Gumroad. The animated version adds motion to the letterforms.
Key Features
Frame-by-frame animation. Each character has distinct in and out animations, hand-animated rather than procedurally generated.
JSX format support. The typeface comes in a lightweight JSX version that integrates with Font Manager, which lets you type directly and control size, tracking, alignment, and time offset automatically.
Traditional comp-based version. You can also manually drag characters to a comp and use the Animography Controller (free) to parent controller settings with one click.
Single color control. The typeface includes one color parameter for easy adjustments.
