What It Does
Haywire is an animated typeface for After Effects that brings motion to monoline letterforms. Each character features simple animations based partly on a grid system, giving the typeface a structured but not overly rigid appearance. The design includes uppercase letters, numbers, and basic punctuation, all animated to add movement to title cards, lower thirds, and motion graphics projects.
Key Features
JSX format. The typeface comes as a lightweight JSX file that integrates with Font Manager, plus a traditional .aep file with all animated characters organized and ready to use.
Font Manager integration. Type directly in After Effects and adjust size, tracking, line spacing, text alignment, and time offset through Font Manager’s interface. The tool automatically creates a controller for customizing the typeface’s animation settings.
Animography Controller support. Use the free Animography Controller to drag characters into your composition and parent controller settings with a single click.
Single color customization. Change the color of all characters with one control.
Character set. Includes A-Z uppercase, 0-9 numbers, and punctuation: ! ? . # $ € % & @ ( ) / \ * ^ + - =
Who It’s For
Motion designers working on title sequences, social media graphics, or any project needing animated text with a clean, geometric aesthetic. Works well for projects requiring a casual but polished look without elaborate multi-color setups.
