What It Does

Frankenstein uses AI to generate precise mattes for individual facial features: skin, eyes, mouth, and teeth. The plugin runs locally on your machine, processing footage without cloud uploads. You get stable mattes across different angles, lighting, and motion without manual rotoscoping.

Key Features

Automatic feature detection. The AI identifies and isolates facial features frame-by-frame, maintaining consistent masks even as subjects move. Works particularly well for close-up shots where you need to adjust specific features independently.

Local processing. Everything runs on your computer, not in the cloud. Results appear quickly, and you don’t need an internet connection after installation.

Fine-tuning controls. Adjust edge softness, brightness, and matte refinement. CUDA support speeds up processing on high-resolution footage (4K and above) with compatible NVIDIA GPUs.

Simple UI. Select and combine face parts through a straightforward interface. No complex parameter tweaking to get started.

Who It’s For

Useful for beauty retouching (adjusting skin tone without affecting eyes), teeth whitening shots, or stylized effects where you need to treat facial features separately. Also works for horror or surreal compositing where individual features need different color grades or effects.

Note the system requirements: Windows needs an NVIDIA GPU with 8GB+ VRAM for acceptable performance. Apple Silicon Macs require macOS Sequoia or newer and 16GB+ RAM. Other configurations run very slowly or not at all.
