What It Does

CorridorKey by blace.ai is a chroma keying plugin for After Effects and Premiere Pro that uses a neural network model developed by Corridor Digital to automate green screen cleanup. It handles the parts of keying that traditional tools struggle with, pulling cleaner mattes from difficult footage without requiring manual mask work. All processing runs locally on your machine.

Key Features

Hardware-accelerated rendering. Built end-to-end on GPU acceleration, the plugin delivers consistent rendering speeds from Full HD 8-bit up to 4K 32-bit. Benchmarks were run on an RTX 3090, and NVIDIA/Windows with CUDA enabled is the recommended setup for best performance.

Fully C++-based. No Python environment to install or maintain. The plugin runs natively, which keeps it stable and avoids the dependency headaches common with AI tools.

Local processing. Your footage never leaves your machine. No cloud uploads, no account required beyond licensing.

Null layer mask control. Mask adjustments are made via null layers in After Effects, keeping a live link active so you can adjust parameters non-destructively after the key is applied.

Free trial available. Installer downloads are available for both Windows and macOS before purchase.

Who It’s For

VFX artists and compositors working regularly with green or blue screen footage who want faster, more accurate keys than After Effects’ built-in tools provide. The plugin pairs well with AE’s Advanced Spill Suppressor for handling color bleed. It works in both After Effects and Premiere Pro (versions 2024, 2025, and 2026).

Note on system requirements: Windows with a NVIDIA GPU (8GB VRAM or more) is the optimal setup. Apple Silicon on macOS Sequoia with 16GB RAM or more is also supported. Other macOS configurations are not supported.

Pricing

CorridorKey by blace.ai is a one-time purchase. A free trial is available for both Windows and macOS. A separate free version of CorridorKey also exists from a different developer, though it lacks the hardware-accelerated rendering and C++ architecture of this paid version.
