What It Does
Vector Paint Studio organizes After Effects paint strokes into manageable groups. Instead of handling strokes individually, you can batch-edit paths, apply transformations, and animate entire sets at once. The plugin includes built-in tracking support, letting you attach stroke groups to face tracking data, track points, masks, or 3D camera motion.
Key Features
Group creation. Select multiple strokes, click Add, and name the group. All selected strokes become a single unit for editing and animation.
Path modification. The Modify Paths tool reduces path points to simplify stroke geometry. Useful for cleaning up hand-drawn strokes or reducing file size.
Group editing. Select a group and click Edit Group to access paint null options. Transform, stylize, and animate all strokes in the group simultaneously. Includes sequential stroke animation options for staggered reveal effects.
Tracking integration. Apply tracking data from face tracking effects, track points, masks, 3D cameras, or 3D tracked solids. Select a group, select tracked elements, and click Track to attach strokes to motion data. Useful for attaching makeup effects to faces, light streaks to moving objects, or integrating strokes into 3D scenes.
Who It’s For
Motion designers working with frame-by-frame animation or rotoscoping. VFX artists who need to sync paint strokes to tracked footage. Anyone building stylized effects where manual stroke management becomes tedious.
