What It Does
Tracker2Mask converts tracking data from After Effects’ point tracker into mask shape animation. The core difference from manual keyframing: you don’t need to track every single mask point. Track one to four points representing the object’s overall movement, keyframe your mask at the start and end frames, and the script calculates the in-between shapes based on that motion data.
Instead of interpolating linearly between two mask shapes like After Effects does by default, Tracker2Mask uses the tracker’s motion path to predict how the mask should deform frame by frame. For something like a moving car, you track four corners. For simpler shapes, one trackpoint is often enough.

Assisted rotoscoping workflow. Keyframe the mask manually on the first and last frame of a shot, track a few points that capture the object’s movement, then run the script to predict intermediate keyframes. You can interleave manual corrections as needed, which keeps the workflow fast without sacrificing accuracy.
