What It Does

Textor generates text animations in After Effects through slider controls instead of keyframe editing. Select a text layer, adjust sliders for transformations and effects, and the plugin builds the animation. Save any result as a preset to reuse across projects.

The plugin works independently of composition size or text scale. Apply a saved preset to a large title or small subtitle and it adapts the animation proportionally.

Key Features

Slider-based controls. Adjust position, rotation, scale, opacity, and effects through numeric sliders. No need to set keyframes manually or tweak easing curves.

Random generator. Select which properties to randomize (position, rotation, etc.) and click once. The plugin creates a randomized animation from those parameters.

Presets system. Save your animation settings, rename them, export to share with others, or import presets from external sources. Textor includes a free preset pack to start with.

Effects panel. Add blur, glow, color shifts, or other effects directly from the plugin interface. These integrate with the animation controls.

Wiggle animator. Set up wiggle motion for position, rotation, or scale. Lock individual dimensions if you only want horizontal or vertical wiggle.

Who It’s For

Motion designers who build kinetic typography frequently. The preset system is particularly useful if you have a consistent animation style across multiple projects. Also relevant for editors who need quick title animations without deep After Effects knowledge, since the slider interface is more approachable than the timeline.
