What It Does
Super Resize Me! resizes compositions and automatically scales all related layers and precompositions to match. When you change a comp’s dimensions manually, After Effects leaves empty space or crops your content. This script eliminates that problem by proportionally scaling everything inside the comp, from 2D layers to cameras to parented elements.
Useful for converting projects between resolutions (HD to 4K or vice versa), creating multiple output sizes from a single project, or resizing individual comps mid-workflow.
Key Features
Recursive scaling. The default mode resizes the starting comp and all child precompositions in one operation. Uncheck the recursive option to scale individual comps one at a time.
Layer type coverage. Handles 2D layers, 3D layers, camera layers (including the default 3D camera), parented layers, and locked layers. No need to unlock or unparent elements before running the script.
Aspect ratio preservation. Maintains the original aspect ratio when resizing, so your compositions don’t get distorted.
Dockable interface. Can be docked directly in the After Effects UI like any other panel.
Batch versioning. Supports bulk resizing across multiple projects, useful for template creators or studios maintaining asset libraries at different resolutions.
Who It’s For
Motion designers managing projects across multiple delivery specs (social media, broadcast, web). Anyone converting older HD projects to 4K. Template creators who need to generate multiple resolution versions of the same project.
Note on expressions: Transform and camera properties controlled by expressions may need to be converted to keyframes before running the script. Use the built-in “Convert Expressions to Keyframes” function in After Effects, or batch convert with Easy Bake.
Pricing
Pay-what-you-want model for individual users (suggested $9.99). Businesses and teams must pay the suggested price for a valid license. This is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
