What It Does
Smart Key Reverse flips keyframe-based animations without manual reversal. Select layers, choose a reverse type (at time, work area, or in-to-out point), and execute. The plugin preserves keyframe interpolation and relative timing across layers, making it useful for creating symmetrical motion, fade-out effects, or reversed title sequences.
Key Features
Three reverse modes. Reverse at Time flips animation from the current playhead position. Work Area Reverse uses the defined work area range. In-to-Out Point flips animation between layer start and end points. Pick the method that fits your comp structure.
Layer filtering. Target all layers, only selected layers, or enabled layers. Prevents accidental changes to locked elements while working with complex comps.
Property selection. Reverse all animated properties, only selected ones, or specify which to flip. Useful when you need position reversed but rotation left forward, or similar partial reversals.
Full interpolation support. Handles spatial and temporal bezier curves, roving keyframes, and hold keyframes. The reversed animation maintains the same easing as the original, so fade-ins become proper fade-outs without rebuilding curves.
Keyboard shortcuts. Assign hotkeys to reverse functions using SHIFT, ALT, or CTRL modifiers. Speeds up repetitive tasks like reversing multiple text layers or duplicating and flipping motion.
Kbar integration. Add reverse buttons to your Kbar toolbar for single-click access without opening the panel.
Who It’s For
Motion designers building title sequences or kinetic typography where symmetrical motion is needed. Useful for duplicating and reversing logo reveals, text swoops, or transition elements. Also helpful when repurposing animation from one scene to another with inverted timing.
