What It Does
Render Frame at Markers automates the process of exporting still frames from specific points in your composition. Place layer markers on the frames you want to export, and the script queues each one for rendering. It replicates the manual process of navigating to each marker and selecting “Save Frame As > File,” but handles all of them at once.
Only markers within your comp’s work area get processed, giving you control over which frames make it to the render queue.
Key Features
Batch frame export. Instead of manually saving each frame, the script reads all layer markers in your work area and queues them automatically.
Marker-based selection. You control which frames get rendered by placing markers. Move or delete markers to adjust your export list.
Direct render queue integration. Frames appear in After Effects’ render queue just as if you’d added them manually, so you can adjust output settings, file names, and formats before rendering.
Who It’s For
Useful when you need multiple reference frames from an animation, client approval stills at specific points, or frame-by-frame exports for print or web assets. Also handy for animators extracting keyframes or editors pulling stills from motion graphics.
