What It Is
Plug-n-telligence is an April Fools parody product from aescripts, not an actual plugin. The joke centers on a fictional brain implant that uses “patented artificial intelligence” to predict which After Effects plugin you need before you know it yourself.
The Premise
According to the satirical product page, Plug-n-telligence “implants directly into your temporal lobe” and “merges your thoughts” with AI to eliminate the need for manually choosing plugins. The mockup shows a literal plug protruding from someone’s head.
The parody includes a pharmaceutical-style disclaimer listing side effects like “headaches, nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, a big plug in your head, loss of appetite, increased sweating, diarrhea, upset stomach, and temporal glitching.” It notes the procedure isn’t covered by insurance and requires “qualified surgeons willing to perform this experimental procedure.”
Who It’s For
Motion designers who enjoy industry in-jokes about plugin overload and workflow automation taken to absurd extremes. This is part of a series of April Fools releases from aescripts, alongside other parody products like “Exposure” (turns exposure into cash) and “Unreality Plugin for the Real World.”
