What It Does

Neural Warp applies elastic warping to footage based on a reference layer’s motion, without manual tracking or mask drawing. Point it at a moving element in your scene, and it automatically warps another layer to match. Useful for match-moving graphics onto faces, text onto moving surfaces, or any situation where you need content to stick to organic motion.

The plugin runs entirely on your local machine, no server calls. It offers two modes: temporal smoothing for consistent warps across time, and instant mode for direct frame-to-frame matching.

Key Features

Instant Mode processes warps without precomputation. Set your reference frame and current frame, and it calculates the warp in real time. A Details slider controls accuracy, so you can balance speed against precision depending on your footage.

Overlay Grid shows the warp across the full frame as you work, making it easier to spot problem areas. The density visualization highlights regions where the AI is struggling, so you know where to adjust your settings or mask out trouble spots.

CUDA Acceleration handles resolutions above 4K efficiently on compatible NVIDIA GPUs (8GB VRAM or more). The plugin also supports Apple Silicon Macs running macOS Sequoia or newer with at least 16GB of RAM. Other systems either run very slowly (older Windows hardware) or aren’t supported (older macOS versions).

Temporal Smoothing Mode is the alternative workflow. It precomputes warp data across a time range, then applies smoothed motion to avoid jittery frame-to-frame changes. Useful when you need cleaner, more stable results for title cards or overlays that track faces or hands through a shot.

Who It’s For

Useful for compositors working with facial effects (teeth whitening, makeup overlays), motion designers adding text to moving objects, or anyone who needs quick match-moving without setting up trackers. If you regularly warp one element to follow another, this automates the heavy lifting.
