What It Does

GrabDrop lets you paste a URL directly into a panel inside After Effects or Premiere Pro and have the file download, save, and land in your Project panel automatically. No switching to a browser, no hunting through a Downloads folder, no manual import step. It supports YouTube, Vimeo, Twitter, and hundreds of other sites.

Key Features

One-click URL download. Paste a link, hit download, and the file appears in your save location and Project panel simultaneously.

Audio extraction. Pull audio-only from any video URL as MP3, WAV, M4A, or AAC. The file imports directly into the project without routing through Audition or a separate app.

Clip range trimming. Set a start and end timecode before downloading so you only grab the seconds you actually need.

Subtitle download. Toggle subtitles on and the caption file downloads alongside the clip, imported as its own track.

Batch download. Drop a .csv or .tsv file full of URLs, or paste a table from a spreadsheet. Select what you want and kick off the whole batch at once while you keep working.

Chapter and playlist support. For chaptered videos, each chapter downloads as its own clip and gets organized into a named bin. Paste a playlist URL and get a picker to choose specific entries.

Convert. After downloading, you can convert the file to a different video, audio, or image format without leaving the panel.

Who It’s For

Anyone who regularly pulls reference footage, stock clips, music, or interview audio from the web into an editing or motion project. Particularly useful when working with large batches of URLs from a research spreadsheet, or when you need just a short clip range from a longer video and don’t want to download the whole thing first.

Works with After Effects and Premiere Pro on both macOS and Windows.

Pricing

GrabDrop is a one-time purchase at $24.00, available as a single-user or floating server license.
