What It Does
This bundle combines two preset browsers that eliminate the guesswork from After Effects’ native Fractal Noise and Colorama effects. Browse through hundreds of presets with visual thumbnails and animated previews, then apply them in one click.
Fractal Noise Browser provides access to 200+ presets across nine categories including clouds, fire, grunge, and glitch effects. Each preset shows an animated preview so you can see exactly what you’re getting before applying it. Works with both Fractal Noise and Turbulent Noise effects, color-coded by compatibility (green for both, blue for Fractal only, orange for Turbulent only).
Colorama Browser offers 350+ curated gradients that bypass Colorama’s manual gradient editor. The collection spans subtle color grading looks through bold stylistic treatments, plus cyclic gradients specifically designed for color cycling animations.
Key Features
Randomize seed on apply generates infinite variations of any preset without manually adjusting parameters. Useful when you need multiple similar textures that aren’t identical.
Animation and seamless looping options let you create backgrounds and textures that loop cleanly, critical for motion graphics that repeat.
Works with existing layers. Apply presets to noise layers you’ve already created rather than starting from scratch each time.
Resizable dockable interface fits into your workspace alongside other panels. Scroll through the full library or search for specific types.
The bundle creates obvious synergies. Apply a Fractal Noise preset to generate organic texture, then use a cyclic Colorama gradient to add animated color shifts. Both tools handle the parameter adjustment work that normally requires trial and error.
Who It’s For
Motion designers building backgrounds, transitions, or texture overlays will skip the parameter-tweaking phase. VFX artists needing atmospheric elements like smoke, fog, or fire get instant starting points. Anyone who finds themselves recreating the same noise looks across projects can save those as visual references.
Particularly valuable if you’ve avoided Fractal Noise because its interface hides what it can actually do, or if you’ve stuck to Colorama’s default gradients because editing them manually is tedious.
Pricing
The bundle costs $56 (20% discount over buying both tools separately at $35 each). Single user license. Trial versions available for both components before purchase.
