What It Does
Extended Coffee Break is a parody plugin that intentionally slows down After Effects render times. Created by Plugin Everything, it uses “highly un-optimised algorithms” to let you take longer breaks while your project renders. The plugin offers customizable CPU scalability without affecting your final output, and compatible with CS6 through After Effects 2025.

CPU Scalability. Adjust how much the plugin slows your render without changing the visual result. The standard free version gives you basic control over processing speed.
Enterprise Edition. For those who want maximum control, the Enterprise Edition adds GPU resource management and memory usage/leakage fine-tuning. This version is designed to “bring your $8,000 workstation to a grinding halt” while donating 100% of sales to Carbon Fund for environmental offsetting.
Cross-Platform Support. Works on both Windows and Mac across all modern After Effects versions, from CS6 through 2025.

While clearly tongue-in-cheek, Extended Coffee Break addresses a real scenario: waiting for long renders. Some artists use it for stress-testing workflows, others appreciate the environmental donation aspect of the Enterprise Edition.
