What It Does

exportForClient extracts text content and specific frames from After Effects compositions for client review. Instead of sending full videos where text might be hard to read in low-resolution previews, you get clean text files and marker-based frame renders.

This product has been discontinued and is no longer available for purchase.

Key Features

Text layer export. Pulls Source Text from all text layers, including nested compositions. Export plain text, text with timecode and composition info, or all keyframe values. If a Source Text property uses expressions, it writes the expression code instead.

Marker-based frame rendering. Add composition markers to flag specific frames. The script renders each marker time as a static image file using your chosen Output Module template, ready for email review.

Nested composition support. Searches through your entire composition hierarchy. Note that it doesn’t read unconverted Photoshop text layers, only native After Effects text.

Who It’s For

Useful when clients need to verify copy before final delivery, or when you’re sending low-res reference videos where small text isn’t legible. Trades a few clicks for manually screenshotting frames or typing out text lists.
