What It Does

Events is a cross-platform desktop application that uses AI-based face recognition to automatically organize photos and videos. Point it at a folder of media files, and it sorts everything based on who appears in each image or clip.

The tool works in two modes. Single mode finds all media containing one specific person, useful when you need to quickly pull every shot featuring a particular subject. Multiple mode detects all faces in your media library and creates separate folders for each person automatically.

Key Features

Face detection runs locally on your machine, no cloud processing required. Select a reference photo or take a selfie, and Events scans your media to find matches.

Tolerance control lets you adjust how strict the matching algorithm should be. Tighter tolerance means fewer false positives, looser tolerance catches more variations in lighting and angles.

Batch processing handles large media libraries. Select your source folder, choose where sorted files should go, and let it run. Supports standard image formats plus HEIC files and video formats.

Rotated image handling correctly processes photos taken in different orientations, a common issue when sorting mobile footage.

Who It’s For

Useful for editors working with event footage, interviews, or any project involving multiple subjects. Wedding videographers, documentary editors, and anyone managing large media libraries with recognizable people will find practical applications.

Pricing

Events uses a pay-what-you-want model. The suggested price is $74.98 USD, but individual users can pay any amount they choose. Businesses and teams must pay the full suggested price for a valid license. Trials are available for macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon) and Windows before purchasing.
