What It Does
Depth Mosh Bundle packages two plugins, Datamosh 2 and Depth Scanner 2, for creating datamoshing effects controlled by depth information. Depth Scanner 2 generates depth maps from your footage using AI, while Datamosh 2 applies glitch effects that respond to those depth values. The combination lets you create spatial glitches where foreground and background elements distort differently.
Key Features
Mosh Maps. Control where glitch effects appear using grayscale maps. White pixels create full mosh intensity, black pixels create none, and gray values fall in between. Feed in Depth Scanner 2’s output to tie distortion to scene depth.
60+ Moshing Algorithms. Datamosh 2 includes frame removal, motion hijacking, and motion swapping between clips. The latest version offers 16x more precision than the original and adds six new parameters.
AI Depth Estimation. Depth Scanner 2 analyzes images and video to generate depth maps automatically. Use these maps for fog effects, stereo 3D conversion, or as input for Mosh Maps.
Marker Workflow. Place markers in your timeline to trigger specific moshing behaviors at exact frames, giving you precise control over when and how glitches occur.
