What It Does
Chubs is an animated typeface that brings graffiti throw-up style into After Effects with built-in animation controls. Each character animates with bubbly motion and can be customized through expression-driven parameters. The typeface includes both animated and static versions, plus a lightweight JSX format that works with Font Manager.
Key Features
Expression-driven controls. Adjust 5 colors, stroke width, sloppy strokes, bouncy strokes, and spark effects without touching keyframes. Each parameter uses expressions to stay editable at any point in your timeline.
Multiple formats. The package includes an animated version with full controls, a static typeface in several styles (fill, shadow, highlight) that can be layered, and a JSX version that integrates directly with Font Manager for quick typing.
Animation options. Characters can exit using either pop or shrink styles. Control duration, random seed for variation, and toggle between different stroke behaviors. The light and shadow settings add depth without manual layer work.
Workflow integration. Works with Font Manager for automatic text layout, tracking, and time offsets. Also compatible with Animography Controller for manual character placement and one-click parameter linking.
