BAO Distortion Selector 2 solves a common problem: limiting where distortion effects like the puppet tool, liquify, or displace work on your layer. Instead of affecting the entire layer, you define specific zones using masks or luma mattes. The plugin gives you control over the smoothness of these boundaries, so you can create precise, targeted distortions without affecting surrounding areas.
Stack multiple selectors on a single layer to build complex setups, and remove any selector with one click when you no longer need it. Works on adjustment layers starting in version 2.5.
Key Features
Mask and luma matte support. Define affected areas using standard After Effects masks or luma mattes from other layers. Combine both methods for maximum control.
Feather mask tool. In CS6 and newer, the feather tool lets you fine-tune exactly where distortion begins and ends, useful for organic edge transitions.
