AutoFill generates animated fills that flow across layer boundaries without manual keyframing. Point it at a logo, illustration, text layer, or photo and watch it calculate the fill path automatically. Works with any layer shape in any language, from calligraphy to architectural blueprints.
Key Features
RGBA gradient engine. Build multi-point animated gradients with individual color control. Three age modes (Age, Trail, Fit) let you retime and loop fills. Combine gradients with blending modes or chain them through the Repeater Pipeline.
Style Builder. Composite up to five layers in a single effect instance. Each layer gets independent retiming, blending, blur, displacement, and fill-type controls. Includes 30 built-in presets covering common animation styles.
Speed Map modes. Four methods control how fills spread: shape-based flow (alpha or RGB), turbulent noise, or “Slower Near Borders” (formerly Auto speedmap). Mix multiple modes together for organic results. RGB-based speed maps work on opaque images, useful for photo transitions where facial features guide the animation.
AutoFill Bridges. Draw native After Effects masks to connect disconnected elements. Prevents border leaking when filling multi-section designs without manually setting growth points for each piece.
Multi-Frame Rendering compatible. AutoFill 2 distributes rendering across all available cores. New compute caching system stores results as you scrub, so previews play smoothly without resimulating. Includes GPU acceleration with automatic CPU fallback for render farms.
Quality settings cover supersampling, adaptive resolution, and smart anti-aliasing. The plugin ships with 50 ready-made After Effects project files demonstrating common setups, from VJ loops to infographic reveals.
