What It Does
Amelie is an animated typeface built from shape layers in After Effects. The monolinear design stays neutral across projects, letting you adjust stroke width to change weight on the fly. Stack multiple widths to create inline or overlap effects without redrawing characters.
The typeface includes full uppercase and lowercase alphabets (with extended Latin characters like À, Ñ, Œ, ß), numerals, and extensive punctuation. Each character animates in and out, giving motion to titles and type-driven graphics.
Key Features
Adjustable stroke width. Control the typeface weight by changing the line width parameter. Stack multiple stroke widths on top of each other for inline or overlap treatments.
Two-color system. Assign two colors to strokes for quick style variations.
JSX format integration. The lightweight JSX version works with Font Manager (sold separately), letting you type directly in After Effects and control tracking, alignment, and time offset from one panel. Also includes a traditional .aep file with all animated characters.
Shape layer construction. Built entirely from vector shapes, so it scales infinitely without quality loss. Edit paths, keyframes, and expressions directly if needed.
Extended character set. Includes uppercase/lowercase letters, accented characters (ÀÁÂÃÄÅÆÇÈÉÊËÌÍÎÏÑÒÓÔÕÖØŒÙÚÛÜß), numbers, and symbols (! ¡ ? ¿ ” ’ , . : ; × + - ÷ = # % & © ™ @ and more).
