What It Does
8mm Distress Kit 4K PREMIUM is a collection of 64 video clips scanned from genuine vintage 8mm film at 4K resolution (3840 x 2160). Overlay these clips on your footage using blending modes to create organic film damage, light leaks, grain, and other analog distress effects.
The clips are organized into five folders: Damage (dust, scratches, grain, sprocket holes), Light Leaks (flashes, light sweeps, colors), Numbers and Text, Grunge (splotches, dirt), and Transitions. Individual clips range from 1 second to 1 minute 37 seconds, giving you flexibility in how you layer effects across your timeline.
This isn’t a plugin or effect generator. It’s raw footage captured from real film, so the imperfections, color shifts, and grain patterns are authentic to the medium.

Photo JPEG codec. The clips use Photo JPEG compression, keeping file sizes manageable (4.5GB total download) while maintaining quality at 4K. Shot at 25fps, the clips can be conformed to other frame rates without issues.
Cross-platform compatibility. These are standard video files that work in any NLE or motion graphics application supporting composite or blending modes. After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Nuke all handle them. You just need a system capable of playing back 4K footage.
