What It Does
YY_Ramp+ builds on After Effects’ standard ramp effect with extended controls for gradients. You get additional blend modes, multiple ramp shapes, midpoint adjustments, and a scatter parameter for quick randomization. Useful for creating backgrounds, texture overlays, or any situation where you need more control over gradient appearance than the default ramp provides.
Key Features
Native plugin architecture. Built as a native plugin rather than a script, which means faster performance. Compatible back to CS6.
20+ blend modes. Layer gradients using the same blend mode options you’d use for layers, giving you more creative flexibility for compositing ramps into your scenes.
Multiple ramp shapes. Choose between linear, angle, reflected, and diamond patterns. The angle option creates a radial sweep, reflected mirrors the gradient from a center point, and diamond forms a four-sided gradient from the center outward.
Ramp midpoint slider. Control where the middle of the gradient sits between your start and end colors. Shift it toward either end to create asymmetric gradients without changing your color choices.
Ramp Scatter parameter. Adds fast randomization to break up smooth gradients (CS5 and later only). Creates organic variation without manual animation.
Backwards compatibility. If you used versions 2.0 or 2.1, your old projects open without changes.
