What It Does
Parallax Corrector Lite adjusts the parallax value in side-by-side stereo video using disparity maps as input. It can increase or decrease parallax, modify the cameras’ convergence point (zero level), and boost the 3D effect for specific depth ranges without affecting other areas.
This plugin has been discontinued and is no longer available for purchase.
Key Features
Independent view adjustment. Modify parallax for left and right views separately, either increasing or decreasing the source parallax value.
Zero level control. Shift the cameras’ convergence point to reposition where objects appear to sit on the screen plane.
Selective depth enhancement. Increase the 3D effect for objects behind the screen without altering foreground elements, or vice versa.
Requirements
This plugin only ran on Windows XP 64-bit or Windows 7. It supported After Effects CS5, CS5.5, CS6, and CC, with CS5.5 recommended due to frame caching issues in later versions. Maximum resolution per view was 1080p. The plugin required disparity maps as input, typically generated by YUVsoft’s Depth from Stereo Lite.
Pricing
When available, Parallax Corrector Lite sold for $199 as a standalone plugin or as part of the Stereo Processing Suite Lite (full suite: $699). The plugin required a one-time purchase and internet connection for installation. No free trial was offered publicly.
