What It Does
Opens a Finder (Mac) or Explorer (Windows) window showing the folder that contains your currently open After Effects project file. On Mac, it highlights the .aep file in the directory using AppleScript.
Key Features
Instant file location. No more hunting through nested folder structures to find where After Effects saved your project. Click once and the folder opens.
Toolbar integration. Works as a standalone script panel, but designed to integrate with ft-Toolbar or rd: Script Launcher for single-click access from your workspace.
Cross-platform. Runs on both macOS and Windows with OS-appropriate commands (Reveal in Finder vs. Reveal in Explorer).
Who It’s For
Useful if you frequently need to access project files, reference footage, or organize assets while working. Particularly valuable when managing multiple projects or working with deep folder hierarchies. The time saved adds up when you need to locate your .aep several times a day.
Pricing
Pay-what-you-want model with a suggested minimum of $5. Individual users can pay any amount. Businesses and teams must pay the suggested price for a valid license. Compatible with After Effects CC through CS4.
