What It Does
VoxPattern is a GPU-accelerated After Effects plugin effect that places geometric patterns into 3D space. Unlike flat pattern generators, it renders objects with actual depth, responds to your composition’s camera, and lets you control how patterns fade and crop along each axis.
Key Features
5 pattern types. Choose from five distinct geometric forms to build your base design.
3D depth rendering. Patterns exist in volumetric space rather than on a flat plane. Adjust overall depth and use depth fade to taper the pattern as it recedes from the camera.
Camera-aware. The effect responds to After Effects camera movement, so you can dolly, orbit, or zoom and the pattern stays grounded in 3D space.
Randomization. Scatter size, spacing, or position across the pattern to break up regularity and create more organic-looking arrangements.
Crop controls with axis fade. Limit the pattern volume along X, Y, and Z axes, each with an adjustable fade edge. Useful for masking a pattern into a specific region without a hard clip.
GPU acceleration. Processing happens on the GPU, which keeps render times manageable even with dense patterns containing large numbers of objects.
Who It’s For
VoxPattern suits motion designers working on abstract backgrounds, title sequences, or broadcast packages where a repeating 3D geometric field is part of the visual language. It also works well for UI mockups, tech-themed visuals, or any project that needs a depth-aware pattern that tracks with camera moves.
Pricing
VoxPattern is a one-time purchase at $37.40, currently on sale. A free trial is available on the aescripts product page. Compatible with After Effects 2023 through 2026.
