What It Does

Vicente is an animated display typeface that turns static text into motion graphics. Each character features smooth animation with a six-color palette, offering a balance between thick and thin lines with unusual shapes that challenge conventional letterforms. The typeface works in JSX format with Font Manager or as a standard After Effects project file.

Key Features

Six-color customization. Vicente ships with a default six-color palette that you can reduce to three or four colors for a simpler aesthetic. All colors are editable through controller settings.

Adjustable stroke width. Modify the weight of each character to match your design needs, from delicate titles to bold display text.

Font Manager integration. Type directly in After Effects with automatic controller generation. Font Manager handles size, tracking, line spacing, text alignment, and time offset, eliminating manual composition of individual characters.

Animography Controller support. The free Animography Controller lets you drag characters into compositions and parent all controller settings with one click. Useful for projects that don’t require Font Manager’s full typing workflow.

Complete character set. Includes uppercase letters, accented characters, numerals, and standard punctuation. Full support for European language characters with diacritics.

Multi-color SVG static version. The package includes a static SVG typeface compatible with various browsers and Adobe apps, useful for web or print work based on the same design.

Who It’s For

Vicente suits motion designers working on brand identity, title sequences, or kinetic typography projects where color and movement matter more than readability at small sizes. The eclectic shapes work best for display purposes, like event titles or product launches. If you’re creating animated text that needs to stand out, Vicente offers visual distinction without requiring custom character animation.

Pricing

Vicente uses a pay-what-you-want model. Set your own price starting from $0. A seven-day free trial lets you test the A, B, and C characters (requires Font Manager, which also offers a free trial).

The standard suggested price is $38, with a static-only version available separately for $27. Purchasing four or more Animography typefaces unlocks an additional 25% discount across the bundle.
