What It Does
TypeMonkey Hebrew Text Modifier is an add-on that enables Hebrew (right-to-left) text handling in several popular After Effects text plugins. It’s a text modifier specifically designed for TypeMonkey, pt_ImportSubtitles, pt_OpenSesame, and pt_OpenSesame Server. This is not a standalone tool, you need to own one of those base plugins to use it.
The modifier handles bidirectional text formatting, making it possible to create kinetic typography animations with Hebrew characters where the base plugin alone would struggle with right-to-left text rendering.
Who It’s For
Motion designers and video editors working with Hebrew content who already use TypeMonkey or the pt_ suite of text tools. If you’re creating animated subtitles, kinetic typography, or text-based motion graphics for Hebrew-language projects, this add-on removes a significant technical barrier.
Note that this modifier is developed by Paul Tuersley, not the original TypeMonkey team (Ebberts + Zucker). Support requests should go through aescripts rather than the TypeMonkey developers.
