What It Does

TypeMonkey Arabic Text Modifier is an add-on that enables direct Arabic text input in several After Effects text animation plugins. It handles right-to-left text flow and proper medial letterforms (the contextual character shaping required in Arabic script) so you can work with Arabic text in TypeMonkey, pt_ImportSubtitles, pt_OpenSesame, and pt_OpenSesame Server.

This is not a standalone plugin. You need to own one of the compatible base plugins for it to function.

Key Features

Right-to-left text flow. Enter Arabic text in the correct reading direction without manual workarounds.

Medial letterform support. The modifier handles contextual character shaping, so letters connect properly based on their position in a word.

Works with multiple plugins. Compatible with TypeMonkey, pt_ImportSubtitles, pt_OpenSesame, and pt_OpenSesame Server. Useful if you already use these tools for kinetic typography or subtitle workflows.

Who It’s For

Motion designers and editors working with Arabic-language content in After Effects who already use TypeMonkey or the pt_ plugins. If you need to create Arabic titles, subtitles, or kinetic text animations, this add-on removes the text input friction.

Pricing

TypeMonkey Arabic Text Modifier uses a pay-what-you-want pricing model. You set your own price when purchasing. The developer suggests $19.99 as a reference point, but you can contribute more or less depending on your budget. This requires a one-time purchase. Existing users of the developer’s other products may see upgrade pricing when logged in.

Note that this is an add-on only. You’ll need to separately own one of the compatible base plugins (TypeMonkey is $89.99, for example) to use this modifier.
