What It Does
Two-Sided Layer merges two layers in After Effects into a single combined layer with distinct front and back sides. Rotate the layer, and the visible face switches automatically. Useful for card flip animations, rotating objects, or any scenario where an element needs different appearances from different angles.
Key Features
The script offers two workflow options. Current Composition keeps both layers in your active comp. The back layer parents to the front, so rotating the front layer controls both. Precomposition moves both layers into a new precomp and adds three slider controls (Rotate X, Rotate Y, Rotate Z) to the precomp layer for rotation control.
Transparency on either side adapts automatically. Adjust opacity on the front or back layer, and it toggles between your set value and zero based on rotation angle. Select two layers (first becomes front, second becomes back), run the script, and pick your workflow option.
