What It Does

Transition Master 2 Basic applies native drag-and-drop transitions to layers and clips in After Effects. The plugin includes 5 free preset packs from a library of 40+ transitions and lets you adjust ease speed and import custom transitions created with the Pro version. It also works across DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, and Nuke, letting you transfer transitions between applications.

Key Features

40+ transition presets. The plugin ships with 5 free preset packs. Additional packs (like the Glitch pack for $9.99) are available separately. Presets cover cinematic transitions, lower thirds, title cards, and VFX effects.

Cross-platform compatibility. Create a preset in After Effects and use it in DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro. The plugin works the same across all supported platforms (Windows and macOS, including M1 Macs).

Ease speed adjustment. While you can’t customize transition structure in the Basic version, you can modify the easing speed of any applied transition.

Import Pro transitions. Use transitions exported from the Pro version, which gives access to custom builds using tools like grid effects, time remapping, blur, shake, tint, and image-driven transitions.

Text and graphic transitions. Apply transitions to text layers for animated titles, lower thirds, and subtitle effects, not just clips.

Who It’s For

Basic works for editors who need a library of ready-made transitions without building them from scratch. If you want to create and customize transitions using transform, grid, time remap, and post-processing controls, the Pro version ($89) includes everything in Basic plus full transition creation tools.

Pricing

Transition Master 2 Basic is pay-what-you-want. While listed at $0 on aescripts, you set your own price for personal use. Additional preset packs cost $9.99 to $30. The Pro version ($89) includes a complimentary Basic license and full transition creation capabilities.

Free updates and bugfixes are included. Compatible with After Effects CS6 through 2023, DaVinci Resolve 16-18, Premiere Pro CS6 through 2023, and Nuke 10-14.
