What It Does
TranShape loads a selected shape layer into a dockable inspector panel, giving you direct access to properties that are normally buried several levels deep in After Effects’ layer hierarchy. Instead of expanding groups and twiddling disclosure triangles, you get a flat view of stroke weight, fill color, transform values, and other shape attributes.
Click the “Get” button to load a shape layer. Adjust properties from the panel. That’s it.
Current Status
This plugin is temporarily disabled due to an outstanding issue. The developer has removed it from sale until a fix is released. You can sign up on the product page to be notified when a new version becomes available.
Who It Was For
Before it was pulled, TranShape was useful for motion designers working with complex shape layer rigs where navigating nested groups became tedious. If you frequently adjust multiple shape properties across different layers, the centralized panel saved time compared to opening each layer and hunting for the right control.
