What It Does

textsyncr analyzes spoken audio in English and converts a written transcription into layer markers. These markers can drive automatic subtitle generation, sync text animations, or integrate with Monkey suite tools (TypeMonkey, LayerMonkey, MotionMonkey).

Key Features

Speech analysis. Paste your English-language transcription, point the script at your audio layer, and let it align the text. It creates layer markers at each word boundary.

Automatic captions. Once markers are in place, textsyncr can generate subtitle text layers positioned at the correct timestamps. Control segment breaks using line breaks in your transcription.

Monkey suite integration. Layer markers work directly with other Monkey scripts. You can trigger kinetic typography or animation sequences based on spoken timing.

The workflow is straightforward: import audio, paste transcription, analyze, then either generate captions or use the markers to control other animations. The plugin handles special characters and supports remote network users.

Who It’s For

Motion designers creating lyric videos, subtitle workflows, or audio-reactive type animations. Editors who need fast caption placement from transcripts. Anyone using Monkey suite tools who wants to sync animations to dialogue.

One limitation: English-language audio only. The speech engine doesn’t support other languages at this stage.

Pricing

textsyncr is available on a pay-what-you-want basis, with a suggested price of $34.99. You can purchase at your chosen price point. There’s a trial version available for testing before purchase.
