What It Does
StyleX converts video footage into stylized visuals, from cartoons to paintings to halftone patterns. It works in two modes: Cartoon mode produces clean cartoon versions of your footage by analyzing structures, textures, and colors from tens of thousands of training images. Style Transfer mode matches the look of any reference image or video you provide.
The plugin is GPU-accelerated and processes high-resolution footage with temporal consistency. Performance varies widely by GPU, so test before buying.
Key Features
Cartoon Mode. Trained on thousands of cartoon images, it extracts cartoon-like structures while preserving detail and color. Results lean toward clean, stylized animation rather than flat simplification.
Style Transfer Mode. Feed it a painting, drawing, or textured image and it applies that style to your video. The neural network handles high resolutions and keeps frames consistent over time.
Chroma and Luma Blending. Chroma blend preserves your original footage’s colors while applying the style’s structure. Luma blend transfers color from the style reference, useful for painting or color-shift effects.
Style Scale Control. Slide from fine detail to coarse, broad strokes. Lets you dial in how aggressive the stylization appears.
Over 60 Sample Styles. Included in the install package: oil painting, mosaic, line art, halftone, various illustrated styles. Drop them into your timeline and the plugin reads them automatically.
