What It Does

StrokeStyler was designed to solve a specific frustration: finding stroke properties buried deep in nested shape layer groups. The plugin automatically fetched settings like dashes, taper, and wave properties and displayed them in a dedicated panel for direct editing. It also introduced Align Dashes to Corners to After Effects, a feature familiar to Illustrator users.

Note: This plugin is no longer available for purchase or download. It was discontinued after its initial release in September 2023.

Key Features

Real-time property fetching. Select a shape layer and the panel populated with all stroke settings instantly. No manual navigation through groups.

Direct editing. Adjust dashes, gaps, taper length, wave amplitude, and other properties right in the panel. Changes appeared immediately in the composition.

Align Dashes to Corners. This feature ensured dash patterns started and ended precisely at path corners, creating cleaner designs for borders, frames, and geometric patterns.

Keyframe detection. The plugin recognized when properties were already animated and preserved your keyframes while editing values.

Default value presets. Set baseline values for stroke properties and apply them across multiple strokes in a single action.

Who It Was For

Motion designers working heavily with shape layers, particularly those building animated UI elements, geometric patterns, or kinetic typography. Anyone tired of clicking through layer hierarchies to adjust a single dash setting would have found this tool useful.

Pricing

The plugin is discontinued. No pricing information is currently available because it cannot be purchased.
