What It Does
Stretch-it 2 creates stretching effects on text layers and footage. The plugin was built to simplify the tedious process of manually stretching letters in typography, which typically required starting from scratch after any text or font change. Now that same effect works on both text and video layers, with direction control and multiple stretch points per layer.
Key Features
Text and footage support. Apply the stretch effect to text layers or any footage (images or video). Works with dynamic text editing by simply renaming the layer.
360° stretch direction. Point your stretch in any direction, not just vertical or horizontal.
Multiple stretch points. Create several stretches on a single layer. Useful for complex type treatments or repeated effects on footage.
Full animation control. Animate stretch amount, position, direction, and all other properties directly in the Effect Controls panel. The plugin uses expression-driven masks that can be fine-tuned and animated.
Quick iteration. Change your text, font, or stretch configuration without rebuilding the effect. Makes experimentation faster when you’re not sure which letter or frame should stretch.
Who It’s For
Motion designers working with kinetic typography will find this useful for title animations where contrast between condensed and overstretched letters creates visual interest. The footage stretching capability extends its use to VFX and compositing work where you need distortion effects but want parametric control.
Pricing
