What It Does

Stereo 3D Toolkit manages stereoscopic 3D compositions in After Effects using true left and right channel hierarchies. Unlike traditional setups that rely on collapse transformations, this approach maintains compatibility with 3D effects and plugins that utilize composition cameras. You work on the left channel while the toolkit automatically generates the corresponding right channel.

The plugin handles both camera footage and 3D renders from external software. Label your left and right channels, and the toolkit manages the stereo depth relationships.

Key Features

True channel hierarchy. Uses separate left and right channels instead of collapse transformations, which means 3D effects see proper stereo depth. Particular, Form, Element 3D, Optical Flares, and Plexus all work with accurate stereoscopic positioning.

Pre-comp conversion. Convert any existing pre-composition into a Stereo 3D Pre-Comp. This lets you integrate stereoscopic elements into projects without rebuilding your composition structure.

External footage support. Works with camera footage and renders from 3D software packages. The toolkit applies stereo management to imported media.

Multiple workflows. Supports different stereoscopic workflows within a single project, useful when combining various stereo sources or techniques.

Who It’s For

Designed for motion designers and VFX artists creating stereoscopic content. Particularly useful if you’re working with third-party 3D plugins or integrating stereo footage from external 3D renders. The automatic right channel generation reduces manual duplication work.
