What It Does
Sliced Box builds 3D sliced box animations from any layer or footage. Create split-box effects with a single click, then animate them using keyframable controls and expressions. The plugin structures everything into a single layer in your main comp, so updates stay simple.
Key Features
One-click setup. Apply the effect to any layer and the plugin generates the 3D sliced structure immediately. No manual pre-comping or duplication.
Keyframable controls. Every parameter (slice count, spacing, rotation, offset) can be keyframed. The expression-driven masks respond to your animation without breaking.
Animation presets. The plugin includes 25 ready-to-use presets (Extrude, Matrix, Blinds, Spinner, others). Apply them with one click. Presets calculate relative position and scale based on your comp size, so they adapt automatically. You can also save, import, and export your own presets.
Color generators. Two color buttons: one generates a random color and applies it to the selected layer or box. The other picks a random color from a selected image or footage layer.
Single-layer structure. Version 3.0 simplified the layer setup. Instead of multiple nested comps, Sliced Box creates one layer in your main comp with custom controls via a pseudo effect.
