What It Does
SlackOut handles the complete export-to-delivery workflow in After Effects and Premiere Pro. Instead of rendering a file, opening Finder, navigating to Slack, and uploading manually, you configure your settings once and then click a single button. The plugin exports your composition and uploads it to a Slack channel or user automatically.
The panel connects directly to your Slack workspace. Your credentials are stored locally on your computer and can be deleted at any time by logging out.
Key Features
Draft and Final modes. Two separate export buttons with independent codec settings. Draft uses lightweight compression for quick reviews. Final uses high-quality settings for client delivery. Each mode automatically appends [DRAFT] or [FINAL] to the filename.
Auto-incrementing filenames. The plugin generates unique names for each export, preventing accidental overwrites.
Custom export presets. Works with After Effects render queue presets or Premiere Pro export presets, including custom configurations you’ve built.
Flexible save locations. Files can be saved to an export folder next to your project file or a custom directory you specify.
Direct Slack uploads. Send files to any channel or user in your connected workspace. You can delete the local file after upload if you don’t need it.
Settings persistence. Export settings are saved per sequence or composition. Configure once, then reuse the same settings every time you work on that sequence.
Multi-workspace support. Connect to multiple Slack teams by clicking the Slack icon in the panel.
Who It’s For
Useful for teams with frequent review cycles, remote collaboration workflows, or client approval processes that happen in Slack. Also works as a pure export tool, you don’t need a Slack account to use it for local renders.
Pricing
SlackOut costs $10 for a single-user license. A trial version is available on aescripts.com.
