What It Does

ShotViz transferred previz data from Cinema 4D into post-production by embedding metadata in C4D files, then displaying and customizing it inside After Effects or Premiere Pro. This allowed editors to see burn-in information like shot details, camera specs, and lens data directly in their timeline.

This plugin has been discontinued and is no longer available for purchase.

Key Features

Cinema 4D metadata embedding. Project Name (render token compatible), Shot Number, Custom Copyright String, Active Camera, Lens (mm), Frame Rate, Frame Number (updates in AE/PR), Date, and Take.

After Effects and Premiere customization. Select which metadata fields to display, adjust size, color, font, and opacity. Add custom logo watermarks to your previz files.

Spreadsheet import/export. Import and export metadata via spreadsheet for larger productions. Font mapping supported multilingual workflows.

Who It’s For

ShotViz was useful for studios running previz in Cinema 4D and finishing in After Effects or Premiere Pro. It helped maintain shot continuity and tracking across departments without manual data entry.

Pricing

ShotViz was previously priced at $69.00 (with a special price of $51.75), but is now discontinued with no active sales or support. It was developed as a collaboration between Yes Captain and Plugin Everything.
