What It Does

Sandbox brings AI-driven web animation engines directly into Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro. Type a natural language prompt, and it generates interactive animations using HTML5, Three.js, GSAP, Pixi.js, or p5.js. The output renders as After Effects layers, ready for export.

This isn’t a template library. It’s a code generation tool that converts text instructions into editable web animations within your timeline. You can create particle systems, 3D scenes, physics simulations, kinetic typography, and data visualizations without writing code manually.

Key Features

Free Web Engine. Generate full HTML/CSS/JS pages with complete creative freedom. Build 3D scenes using Three.js or Babylon.js, particle systems, music visualizers, games, dashboards, or physics simulations. Load any CDN library. Mouse, keyboard, and touch interactions are supported.

SVG Rigging Mode. A professional character rigging tool built into the extension. Click SVG parts to assign semantic labels (HEAD, LEFT_ARM, BODY). The AI reads these labels for precise character animation control. Tell it to “raise the left arm,” and it knows which part to move.

Data Visualization. Upload JSON, CSV, or TXT files. The AI parses your data and generates animated charts, graphs, or data-driven sequences. No manual parsing, no expressions to write.

Real-Time Interaction. Record mouse movements from the canvas and export them as a Null layer with keyframes in After Effects. Or feed layer position data from After Effects into the canvas to drive animations. Capture live interactions as PNG sequences.

Voice Control. Connect Sandbox to an external server and control After Effects using voice commands in real-time. Demonstrated in third-party tutorials, this workflow feature adds hands-free operation to your setup.

Multi-AI Model Support. Sandbox integrates Gemini, OpenAI, and Claude. You can switch between models depending on your needs or API access.

Who It’s For

Motion designers who need quick prototyping for web-style animations without learning JavaScript. Useful for client pitches, rapid iteration, or experimenting with generative art techniques. If you’re building interactive infographics, social media loops, or abstract motion graphics that would normally require coding, this shortens the path from idea to render.

Character animators can use the SVG rigging tool to quickly prototype movement for 2D characters. Data journalists or infographic designers will find the CSV/JSON import valuable for turning spreadsheets into animated visualizations.

Pricing

Sandbox is pay-what-you-want, with a suggested price of $29 for a single user license. You can name your own price. The license allows installation on up to two computers or user accounts, as long as they’re not used simultaneously. A trial version is available.
