What It Does

Rubberize It! applies physics-based squash and stretch to any layer that accepts puppet pins. Place pins on text, video, shapes, or vectors, choose a material, and the layer reacts to motion automatically. No keyframes required. The plugin calculates displacement based on acceleration, so changes in position, rotation, scale, or parent motion trigger realistic bending and wobbling.

Key Features

Eight material presets. Choose from rubber, vinyl, goop, and five other bendable materials. Each preset delivers a different balance of bounce, resistance, and flex.

Custom material sliders. Adjust stiffness, damping, and chaos to create materials beyond the presets. Combine multiple materials on the same layer for hybrid behaviors.

Two reaction formulas. Formula A handles horizontal movement and rotation using anchor points. Formula B responds to vertical motion and scale changes. Pick the one that matches your animation style.

Smart Rubberize button. Applies expressions to selected pins in one click. The clean button removes those expressions if you need to reset. The bake function converts expressions to keyframes for faster previews and rendering.

Chaos feature. Introduces randomization to material behavior, making animations feel less uniform and more organic.

Works with pre-comps, split layers, and physics plugins like Newton. Useful for bouncy title animations, cartoonish transitions, or stylized motion graphics where objects need to feel elastic or gelatinous.

Who It’s For

Motion designers working on character animation, logo reveals, or any project where exaggerated squash-and-stretch adds personality. Also useful for experimental animation where layers should feel tactile and reactive rather than rigid.

Pricing

Single-user license costs $39.99. Free trial available, limited to six pins and three days of use. Also included in the Ebberts + Zucker Variety Pack bundle.
