What It Does

Renomi is a Python-driven Cinema 4D plugin that addresses two common render output headaches: disorganized file structures and generic Object Buffer naming. When rendering multi-pass sequences to individual image files (rather than multi-layer files), Cinema 4D dumps hundreds of files into one folder and names Object Buffers generically as object_1, object_2, etc. Renomi fixes both problems by renaming files to match your Render Settings and sorting each pass into its own folder.

Key Features

Preserves Object Buffer names. If you rename Object Buffer #1 to “OB1-Cube” in Render Settings, Renomi renames the rendered object_1 files to match. This applies to all multi-pass types, like renaming Global Illumination to “GI” or Shadow to “Shadow_Area”.

Automatic folder organization. Each render pass moves to its own folder (Shadow images to Shadow folder, RGBA to RGBA folder, etc.). Instead of 500 files in one directory, you get a clean hierarchy.

Subfolder renaming. Folders are named after the multi-pass, keeping everything labeled clearly.

Compositing project file updates. If you save Compositing Project Files for After Effects, Nuke, or other apps, Renomi updates them with the new file paths and naming. You can overwrite the original or create a copy.

Based on Path cleanup. This standalone function takes a folder full of mixed rendered files and sorts them into organized pass folders, useful when you have hundreds of files from Separate Lights or stereoscopic renders.

Brute Force collection. Gathers any sequential files (documents, images, video, sound) in the render directory into separate folders. Recommended for Separate Lights or stereoscopic workflows.

Who It’s For

Designed for Cinema 4D users who render multi-pass sequences and need organized output for compositing. Particularly useful for complex scenes with multiple Object Buffers or when using Separate Lights.

Pricing

No longer available for purchase. Renomi was previously offered as pay-what-you-want with a suggested price of $24 (regular $30). The product page states it is discontinued. A free trial version was available during its active period.
