What It Does
RenderQ bypasses After Effects’ standard render queue by letting you queue movies, stills, and thumbnails with a single click. Set up four customizable buttons with your preferred output modules and render locations, then batch render entire projects without manually adjusting settings for each composition.
Key Features
Four customizable render buttons. Each button can be configured with different output modules and render settings. You might set one for full-res ProRes + half-res H.264 preview, another for fill + matte passes, or a third for image sequences with preview movies.
Still frame rendering. Extract frames from the current time indicator, a set time from comp start, or a specific frame number. Supports four different still output modules with custom render settings.
Render+ mode. When rendering completes, this feature automatically removes frame number and timecode suffixes from still renders and brings output folders to the front. Works with other still-frame scripts and After Effects’ built-in Save Frame As.
Automatic suffixes. Add suffixes to all renders without changing comp names or output names in the queue. Choose between standard suffixes or custom output-module-only suffixes.
Preset render locations. Save frequently used render locations as presets or auto-prompt for new locations on each render. No more accidentally rendering to the wrong folder.
Who It’s For
RenderQ is built for editors and motion designers who regularly switch between output modules and render locations. If you’re rendering multiple versions of the same comp (client review, color matte passes, archive copies), constantly outputting stills at specific frames, or batch rendering projects with consistent settings, this script eliminates the repetitive setup work.
Pricing
RenderQ uses pay-what-you-want pricing with a suggested price of $9.99. Individual users can pay any amount, though businesses and teams must pay the suggested price for a valid license. One-time purchase, no subscription.
