What It Does
Reach Pro organizes dozens of After Effects functions into a single searchable panel. Type to find commands, effects, scripts, or expressions. Click to launch them. The extension includes over 50 built-in utilities ranging from simple layer alignment to rigging systems and GIF export.
Key Features
Search bar. Access any After Effects command, effect, preset, or script by typing. Bookmark frequently used items. Clear disk cache or capture a view snapshot without opening menus.
Expression Editor. Store and organize expressions in a dedicated panel with modern JavaScript formatting. Assign default properties to each expression for one-click application, or set them to “any” for manual selection.
Speed Graph. Apply custom easing curves to keyframes using a visual interface. Choose from 10 presets or draw your own IN and OUT values. The top arrow retrieves existing values, the bottom arrow applies your changes.
Bones rigging toolkit. Draw a path with the Pen Tool, select it, then click Create Bones to generate a skeletal structure from vertices. Bind shapes to bones through the Effect Panel, adjusting anchor points to control placement. Use nulls for keyframing position, rotation, and scale.
Color Palettes Manager. Extract colors from layer sources and save them as reusable palettes. Rename, delete, or toggle visibility to keep only relevant swatches in view.
GIF Maker. Export any composition as a GIF with three quality presets: Default, High Res, Low Res.
Pathfinder. Apply Illustrator-style pathfinding operations to After Effects shapes. Works on single layers or across two selected layers. Supports up to 30 paths per layer for trim, crop, and outline operations.
Align Tool. Align selected objects to the first selected layer instead of the composition frame. Bypasses After Effects’ usual restrictions when aligning 3D layers.
Text utilities. Cut Text splits text layers by words, characters, or lines, preserving position and timing. Text Box creates background shapes behind selected text. Text Snooper finds and replaces text across the entire project. Nota Bene imports text files directly into paragraphs. Swap Text exchanges content between two text layers.
Layer management. Intelli Renamer changes layer names based on content and color. Isolated solos selected layers and shies others. Select Layers by Type grabs all instances of a specific layer kind. Name Matcher syncs layer names with source items. FX to Layer Names renames based on applied effects. Bulk Namer batch-renames with custom patterns. Randomize Layers Position spreads selections within defined bounds.
Expression tools. Disable Errors finds and turns off broken expressions. Copy Match Names copies property MatchNames to clipboard. Toggle Expressions switches all comp expressions on or off. Expressions Markers adds markers to layers containing expressions. Remove Useless Keyframes deletes redundant keys.
Keyframe tools. Dupl’Keys duplicates selected keyframes at the playhead. Mir’Keys reverses keyframes around the playhead. Loops Toolkit covers all loop types with Alt and Shift shortcuts. Bake/Unbake converts expressions to keyframes and back.
Composition tools. Crop n’Precomp crops and precomposes selected layers. Un’Precomp extracts layers from a precomp back to the parent comp. Solid adds a trimmed colored solid under selection. Trimmed Adjust Layer adds an adjustment layer above. Faux Null creates a null helper with optional parenting.
Transform tools. The Centerer centers layers in the composition. The Resizer fits layers to width, height, or both. The Shifter staggers layers, including by label colors. Grids Kit distributes layers onto configurable grid patterns.
Audio tools. Reach Sound System creates audio layer rigs for sound-driven effects. Audio Reactors generates animations from audio amplitude. BPM computes timing helpers. BPM Beat Markers drops markers based on BPM. Set Interval places markers at fixed intervals.
Other utilities. Reach Camera Rig creates controllable 3D camera setups. New Order reorganizes project structure automatically. Paste Image from Clipboard inserts images directly. Ungroup Masks separates masks into individual layers. Centre Shapes Around Anchor centers shape paths around a centered anchor. Ease With Markers uses markers to manage 30 IN/OUT easing options on any property. Guides Around adds guides around objects and anchor points, with options to import, export, lock, or unlock guides.
