What It Does

QuickScript lets you run ExtendScript code directly in After Effects without switching to an external editor. Paste scripts from Reddit, Stack Overflow, or ChatGPT, test them immediately, and see console output in the same panel.

While built for After Effects, it also works in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, InDesign, and Audition.

Key Features

Auto-indent. Press Shift+Tab to format your code automatically.

JS Linter. Catch syntax errors before you run the script.

Console logging. Use $.log() to output variables and debug messages to the built-in console. No more alert boxes cluttering your screen.

Command search (After Effects only). Search application commands by name or ID without digging through menus.

Property path finder (After Effects only). Get the exact property path for selected layers, useful when writing expressions or scripts that target specific properties.

Who It’s For

Useful for motion designers who work with scripts regularly but don’t need a full IDE. If you frequently test one-off scripts from online communities or AI tools, QuickScript saves you the step of opening ExtendScript Toolkit or VS Code.

Pricing

QuickScript uses pay-what-you-want pricing with a suggested minimum of $8. Individual users can pay any amount. Businesses and teams must pay the suggested price for a valid license.
