What It Does

Quick Access gives you instant navigation to recently used folders and files in After Effects. Instead of clicking through file dialogs, you access import paths, render destinations, and project locations from a single panel. It also tracks your effect history and includes one-click rendering options.

The plugin maintains its own history separate from After Effects’ native system, with smart cleanup that removes redundant paths automatically.

Key Features

Recent path lists. Import paths, render paths, AE project paths, and a last-used path are all accessible from the panel. No more retracing your steps through nested folders.

Favorites created on the fly. Mark folders as favorites while working. No setup required before you start.

Effect history search. Start typing an effect name to filter your recently used effects. Faster than scrolling through menus.

Render selected layers to PNG. Renders chosen layers with multiple post-render settings. Useful for quick exports of individual elements.

Render comp to JPG. Works if you have a JPG preset configured. Adds the comp to render queue with output path set automatically.

File manager integration. Opens your recent folder in Windows Explorer or Finder directly from the panel.

Who It’s For

Useful if you work across multiple projects with recurring folder structures or import from the same stock libraries repeatedly. The effect history search helps if you use specific effects often but forget where they live in the menu tree.
